School visits and open house dates are extremely important in your school search. Preschool and elementary tours or open houses are usually led by the Admissions Director or Preschool Director. Most usually they will share with you basics of the philosophy they use, talk about routines and show you the classroom and playground area. Middle and high school tours are often led by current students, an admissions officer, or a parent volunteer. It is extremely important for you to know that tour guides are also trying to get to know you for admissions, so this is a great opportunity to ask questions and make a positive impression.
